Praise Van Java - Logo Design

Praise Van Java was a logo project for an exclusive genuine leather bag product, owned by a female entrepreneur in Central Java, Indonesia.
Praise means "pujian" or "Puji" in Indonesian. The logo is created to represent the name of the business owner, and must also describe the exclusive bag product and the area of origin of its production in Central Java, Indonesia. This logo was created from a modification of the typical Central Javanese "parang" batik pattern, which is made to resemble the letters P and J.
The sketching process didn't take too long, even though it required a bit of research on the different types of batik in Central Java. Wild ideas briefly disrupted the logo creation process, until finally returning to the initial concept where the business owner explained the background of her business through an interview.

Looking at the last symbol, I didn't feel the need to continue sketching anymore. I was somehow convinced that this was the right logo. And it turned out to be true, this logo was approved without any objections.

Thanks for your appreciation!
